Media buying is an accounting problem.
A media-buying portal built to the standard of a finance system, not a marketing dashboard.
§ 01 — Brief
We built go-dgtl.media, a media-buying portal — and held it to accounting and finance rigour. Buyers plan and place spend through it; the money is treated the way a finance function treats money.
§ 02 — The thesis
Media buying looks like marketing and behaves like finance. It moves real budgets across many vendors, on many terms, with reconciliation and reporting obligations attached. A portal that ignores that is a liability. The numbers have to be right — and provably right.
§ 03 — What we built
The buying surface on top of a finance-grade core: spend that reconciles, state that is auditable, figures that survive an accountant’s scrutiny. The discipline lives in the ledger, not the dashboard.
§ 04 — Standard
The bar was not a dashboard that looks right. It was a ledger a finance team can trust without re-checking it.
